July Events

Relay for Life
The Omaha Pipes and Drums performed for a number of American Cancer Society Relay for Life events this year including West Point (Cumming County) NE on July 16th.  Band members contribute their services to the Relays throughout the area.

Edwin Wood Funeral
On Saturday July 17th outside Dundee Presbyterian Church, situated on Underwood Avenue at Happy Hollow Boulevard, the hot air carried the sounds of the Omaha Pipes & Drums and quiet sobs as Pfc. Edwin Wood was laid to rest.  Our sympathies to Wood's parents, Janis Boehmer and Thomas Wood, and his brothers, T.J. Wood and Josh Doyle, and sister, Isabeau Tholen.

Double Header
The Omaha Pipes and Drums had a double-header on Saturday, July 24. They led the parade in Missouri Valley, Iowa in the morning and were the featured performers and “paraders” at the Tilden Prairie Days in Tilden, NE in the afternoon.
